Happy New Year!

All that and few minutes of U of Illinois follow-up. We enjoy reading an email from the father of one of the Illini players.

Special Hall of Fame Edition of BZR

In response to Tuesday's announcement of Hall of Fame enshrinees, we're putting out a special show.

Regular hosts Todd and Tom are joined by guest host and resident baseball history expert Chuck Lucas. Luke really knows his stuff.

We discuss the Hall of Fame vote, Ripken, Gwynn as well as those who didn't get in this year.

I have to say we had a lot of fun doing this show and as Todd said after the show, we really agreed on issues more than we thought we would.

We hope to have Luke on again in future shows.

008- Cubs Convention, Erstad and LaRoche deals and how MLB umpires resolve conflicts

Hosts: Tom, Todd and Chuck

Summary: Tom gives a report from last weekend's Cubs Convention in Chicago. The JD Drew Watch is over as Drew has signed with Boston. Pirate fan Todd has something to be happy about with the LaRoche/Gonzalez deal. Chuck helps us make sense of the White Sox signing of Darin Erstad signing.

It couldn't last forever. The love affair is over. Chuck and Todd have finally found something to disagree about. The two of them discuss the role of MLB umpires and whether they are pushing the envelope and becoming more part of the scene during player/umpire conflicts. Todd, a registered umpire, has his say.
